Mosca Seeds was founded by a breeder known as Mosca Negra (also referred to as Mosca Rick) in Denver, Colorado, and has spent more than 15 years building a catalogue rooted specifically in Indica and Skunk genetics drawn from some of the finest West Coast breeding stock available. Mosca has become particularly known for preserving important legacy genetics - the brand maintains and protects strains like Cinderella 99 and Old Time Moonshine, working almost exclusively with regular (non-feminised) seeds to keep the full range of a strain's genetic variation available for future breeding work.

That preservation-minded approach has been paired with real competitive success: Mosca Seeds has picked up multiple Cannabis Cup wins across Europe, several first-place finishes at IC Mag's 420 event in Amsterdam, and a Silver Award at the 2019 4/20 High Times Cup in Sacramento.
