Wizard Trees is the creation of a Los Angeles grower known as Scott, who spent around eight years building cultivation skills the hard way - running small home grows, studying how established brands like Jungle Boys operated, and gradually scaling up to a 100-light commercial facility. Rather than chasing volume once he had the capacity to scale, Scott has kept Wizard Trees deliberately artisanal: smaller batches, hand-selected genetics, and a standard high enough that, in his words, "if it's not good, I just don't grow it."

The brand's biggest impact on the wider cannabis world came through its collaboration with breeder Deep East (DEO Farms), which produced RS-11 (Rainbow Sherbert #11) and its follow-up Zoap - both of which became genuine cult favourites across California and internationally, with RS-11 further popularised by fellow LA brand Doja. A separate collaboration with breeder Fiya Farmer produced Zangria, following the same pattern of Wizard Trees handling cultivation and quality control while trusted breeding partners handle genetics.

Every strain in the Wizard Trees catalogue is bred either in-house or by one of a small, tightly trusted network of collaborating breeders, with a consistent focus on bold, terpene-forward profiles - loud fruit, gas and sherbet-style aromas - across feminised photoperiod genetics.
