Absinthe - 60 caps

This is a pack of 60 capsules containing wormwood (Artemisia absinthium), a herb also known as absinth wormwood. Express Highs lists it as a botanical product for collectors and enthusiasts who prefer a ready-portioned format to loose dried material.

About the herb

Wormwood is a perennial plant native to parts of Europe, Asia and North Africa, recognisable by its silvery-grey, finely divided leaves and a distinctly bitter, aromatic character. It has a long cultural history in Europe and is best known as one of the botanicals traditionally associated with the spirit absinthe, which is where the common name for this product comes from. Today it interests people who enjoy learning about traditional herbs and building a collection of botanicals.

Why capsules

Capsules are a tidy alternative to loose powder or cut herb. Each one is a self-contained unit, so there is no scooping or weighing, and the strong aroma of the dry herb stays contained. The format also suits small, discreet storage, and a count of 60 makes it easy to keep track of what you have in a collection or to compare with other herbal capsules in the range.

Storage

Like most dried botanicals, capsules keep best in a cool, dry, dark place, in a sealed container or airtight jar, away from heat, humidity and direct sunlight. Moisture is the main enemy of any capsule, as it can soften the shell and encourage mould. Keep them out of reach of children and pets. Because this is a small pack, it also works well as an introductory size for anyone who wants to look at one botanical before moving on to larger quantities.
